Her past was a tragic story of sexual abuse and a double murder. Caleb loved her so dearly, he vowed that some how, some way, some day, he would marry her. Caleb suffered much abuse from some fellow students, and at practice by his teammates, and one cruel coach. Caleb refused to give up his dream, and in time, he was finally given an opportunity to play. His performance was nothing less than incredible. Although Caleb had struggled for acceptance by the affluent students, after he proved that he was not just another country hick, and became a potential All-American, he became the campus Golden Boy. The characters that Caleb encounters in his journey through life are both rich and powerful in personalities. The story will warm one's heart, and its wry humor will keep one laughing.
